The Horizon37 Valuable Boards™ programme helps scale-up business boards and exec teams to improve collaboration by understanding the diverse needs, abilities and perspectives of colleagues.
Participants achieve better performance on boards, increased engagement and trust between the board and exec, and more effective decision-making together.
This bespoke Grassroots workshop drew on frameworks and methods from the Valuable Boards programme, to explore how a scale-up’s board can contribute maximum value towards the business goals. Horizon37’s Director of Coaching, Katy Tuncer, led the session.
A small group of just ten Grassroots community members were invited to examine six behavioural archetypes for scale-up board members – each with a shadow side (read more in the Horizon37 Villains vs Value research report).
Together they explored how problems such as the “criticiser-defender cycle” can be overcome, not only to avoid value destruction, but to leverage strengths of the board for maximum positive value to the business.
