Our state-of-the-art meeting rooms provide a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere in which businesses can excel. Choosing a space specifically designed for meetings and conferencing means that you have access to the comforts and amenities you need to do business – including fast and secure Wi-Fi access, state-of-the-art video conferencing equipment, a presentation screen with connected speakers and microphones, plus good old-fashioned flip charts and pens.
Grassroots can easily accommodate up to 20 people in our meeting spaces and 150 in our larger event space, with excellent public transport links via the centre of Oxford.
Our meeting spaces are perfect for businesses of all sizes, no matter what event or meeting you’re planning. Available to hire by the hour, half day or full day with affordable rental rates that start from as little as £50 per hour, all you need to do is choose the space that best suits your needs and head on over. And for our existing coworking or office space customers, we offer priority booking and discounts on all meeting rooms.

Frequently asked questions
Meeting rooms cost from £50 to £80 an hour plus VAT. The Brenner and Hinshelwood rooms (up to 8 people) are £50 an hour, £150 for a half day or £240 for a full day. The Sherrington room (up to 20 people) is £80 an hour, £250 for a half day or £400 for a full day. Our event space for up to 150 people is priced on application.
There are three meeting rooms and an event space: Brenner (up to 8, boardroom layout), Hinshelwood (up to 8, boardroom), Sherrington (up to 20, boardroom), and an event space for up to 150 people.
Yes. Rooms are available by the hour, half day or full day, so you only pay for the time you need.
Every room includes AV equipment and a presentation screen, fast and secure WiFi, video conferencing with Polycom and Zoom, speakers and microphones, a flip chart and pens, and unlimited tea, coffee and water.
Yes. All rooms have AV equipment with Polycom and Zoom video conferencing, presentation screens, and connected speakers and microphones.
Yes. There is an on site café in the HB Allen Centre, and unlimited tea, coffee and water are provided in every room. Let us know your requirements when you book and we will talk you through the options.
Yes. All Grassroots members get 50% off meeting room hire, including coworking, office and virtual office customers. Coworking and office customers also get priority booking.
No. When you book a meeting room or the event space, your guests can attend without buying a day pass. A day pass is only needed if a guest wants to use the coworking space.
Yes. Our event space holds up to 150 people and is priced on application. Get in touch with your date and requirements and we will provide a quote. External guests can attend any event held in a booked meeting room or the event space.
There is no on site parking. The route 300 bus from Pear Tree Park & Ride runs along Woodstock Road, other bus routes connect to the city centre, and Oxford railway station is around a 15 minute walk. Bike racks are available on site.
Yes. The building is accessible, and if anyone attending needs assistance during an emergency, we will put a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) in place with you.

Grassroots is at the HB Allen Centre, 46 Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HT, part of Keble College and home to Oxford Science Enterprises. It is in the heart of Oxford, a short walk from the city centre.
