SUMMARY:Investor Pitching Fast Track
DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\n1 day 7 hours\nMobile eTicket\n\n\n\n\nEquity investment can be an excellent way to fund growth and investors can bring more than capital to the table\, many bring a wealth of expertise\, experience\, and contacts that serve to further expedite growth objectives. But how do you reach investors and how do you optimally prepare in order to ‘stand out’ from the hundreds and thousands of approaches they receive. \nFollowing OxLEP’s hugely successful ‘Pitch to the Panel’ events\, we are running yet another 2-day Investor Pitching Fast Track workshop\, specifically designed to take you from zero to comprehensive pitch deck able to withstand investor scrutiny. Workshop modules have been specifically designed to share best practice and cover the essential elements of a pitch deck\, whilst guest speakers have been chosen to highlight what investors look for\, and the in person nature of the event provides the ability to collaborate closely with and learn from your peers in small groups throughout. \nDay one of the two-day event follows an intensive agenda of core learning\, peer discussion\, guest presentations\, and hands on support from specialists. Day two allows for additional pitch deck building and preparation before ‘pitching practice’ begins. Each delegate will have the opportunity to pitch their proposition for 10 minutes with 5 minutes Q&A and invaluable feedback from their peers. \nWhat better way to prepare for your investment journey than being surrounded by specialists able to inform your pitch content and trusted peers helping you finetune your delivery? \n  \nWhat delegates say\n“The Investor Pitching Fast Track course run by OxLEP is fantastic. The content of the course is well pitched to a range of businesses at various stages of their investment journey. There are a range of external speakers who deliver hour long sessions covering a variety of relevant topics. The sessions cover talks from established business in advanced stages of investment through to actual investors giving an inside viewpoint. These speakers added an incredible amount of value. The sessions were perfectly run by OxLEP and set in a great environment. I cannot recommend this course enough and will be looking to take advantage of as much as possible from OxLEP based on this experience.” Tim Barry\, Bikeable \n“The last two days investor pitching training workshop organised by OxLEP escalate programme was truly fascinating and eye-opening. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and appreciated this encounter with so many fellow entrepreneurs who are also going through the same journey. OxLEP has done a great job of pulling together a group of enthusiastic\, passionate\, and high calibre peers with a great drive to make a positive contribution to the society. I love the vibe and I love the atmosphere\, many thanks to Andrea\, Sarah\, and for supporting us in the journey. For fellow entrepreneurs: if you have been building your business for a little while\, but wondering how to take your business to the next level. This is a great workshop offering just that. It not only gives you the opportunities to hear the experience directly from some highly successful entrepreneurs who live and breathe every day running a real-world business\, but also will give you the down to the earth advice on how to navigate the complex innovation support landscape\, getting the right advice/support at the right time for your specific business. My experience clearly shows that these are two days well spent! Highly recommended!” Dr Erica Yang\, Chilton Computing Limited \n“A Fantastic two day fast track workshop with OxLEP Business. It was great to pitch our proposition to the delegates today. So many great take aways\, top tips from industry experts\, feedback on our investor pitch and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of delegates to share the time with\, some truly inspiring and incredible people.” Victoria Jeffrey\, uWatch \n  \nWho is this event for?\nThis event is for SMEs looking to become investment-ready\, entrepreneurs and business owners who want to learn how to prepare and deliver an engaging and comprehensive investor pitch. \nNB: Delegates MUST be able to attend both days. \n  \nAgenda\nMonday 16th January 2023 \n09.30 – 10.00 – Coffee and Registration \n10.00 – 10.15 – Welcome \n10.15 – 11.15 – Workshop – ‘Essentials and nice to haves of a pitch deck’ \n11.15 – 11.30 – Break \n11.30 – 12.00 – Guest speaker – ‘Pitching to investors; a company’s perspective’ \n12.00 – 13.00 – Workshop – ‘Importance of telling the story’ \n13.00 – 14.00 – Lunch \n14.00 – 15.00 – Workshop – ‘Getting the business valuation right’ \n15.00 – 15.30 – Guest speaker – ‘What investors look for’ \n15.30 – 15.45 – Break \n15.45 – 16.15 – Workshop – ‘Identifying and protecting Intellectual Property’ \n16.15 – 16.45 – Workshop – ‘The importance of Team’ \n16.45 – 17.00 – Wrap up \n  \nTuesday 17th January 2023 \n09.00 – 09.15 – Coffee \n09.15 – 09.45 – Workshop – ‘Doing your homework and pitching with confidence’ \n09.45 – 10.45 – Group prep and Coffee \n10.45 – 13.05 – Pitching \n13.05 – 14.00 – Lunch \n14.00 – 15.20 – Pitching \n15.20 – 15.30 – Break \n15.30 – 16.50 – Pitching \n16.50 – 17.00 – Wrap up and Close \n  \nHow to attend\nWorkshop places are limited to 16\, with no more than one person from any single company.
